20.04.18 – Stalinallee – Ani

Stalinalle used to be the name of the current streets Karl Marx Allee and Frankfurter Allee in the east part of Berlin. This kind of boulevard is an example of the widespread “Magistrale” streets that appeared during communist times all over East Europe. The Stalinallee is not only a street but a complex of parks, cinemas, cafes and socialistic monuments. Although the aesthetic of the street is not very appreciated by some locals the street keeps a unique vibe of former communist times. It is worth to visit! Specially if you are interested in architecture and history.
This session portraits Ani, a 19 years old girl from Berlin, in her scenery.
We started from Frankfurter Tor and moved towards Alexanderplatz. We made pictures inside buildings, next to the fountain, in the metro and in front of the cinema Kosmos.
At the end of the day we went for Berliner Weiße (Berlin beer) in James June Sommergarten. We had lovely spring weather.
